Kobus Kleyn, Certified Financial Planner and Director at Kainos Financial Services, a Liberty Group Affiliate, obtained his Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning at the University of Free State and his MDP & AEP from UNISA.
He currently is Chairperson’s of the FPI Risk Competency Committee, FIA RDR Intermediary Workgroup, Liberty Ethics Committee and serve on the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) Income Replacement Committee, FPI Annual Convention Committee 2017 and hold the position of Assistant-Director for the MDRT PGA Annual Convention 2017 Task Force Committee.
Kobus additionally hold membership to SAIT (Tax Practitioner), the Fiduciary Institute of Southern Africa (FISA), the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioner (STEP- with a TEP Designation), Financial Intermediaries Association of Southern Africa (FIA), The Insurance Institute of South Africa (IISA) The Institute of Ethics South Africa and Unashamedly Ethical.
Kobus was the inaugural winner in 2015 of the FPI “It starts with Me” award and also received the award in 2016 and is also a FPI and MDRT Pro-Bono Volunteer. Kobus was awarded the MDRT Leadership Award in 2014.
Kobus has a Passion for the Financial Services Profession and works purposefully with other like-minded stakeholders to transform the industry into a fully fledge profession with the power of social and print media and other means like presentations, workshops etc.
Kobus has authored the books “Passion for the profession- Mastering the 9 P’s to Professionalism” as a non-profit publication to the financial profession and "RDR-Mastering Key Elements to RDR".
